I met Chris Soloman one time months ago when I first started looking for a home. I told Chris I had never purchased a home and had zero knowledge of the process. Chris neglected to explain ANY of the process to me throughout the entirety of the loan.I spoke with Chris on the phone less than 30 mins combined the entire process. We did text and email usually consisting of requests for information.
We made contracts pinpointing dates of when we would close. Twice we had to extend these and I felt it was not of importance to Chris. My agent had the understanding that I had been "well informed" on the "numbers" prior to closing. I had no idea the amount of closing costs until a couple hours before signing. I was in class with a brand new job almost in a panic bc I wasn't sure of the amount of money I would need to close my loan with.Post signing, POST SIGNING, I was asked for verification of employment!?! I spent my farewell lunch with my class on the last day of school scrambling to get this info to him as it was "NEEDED ASAP" only to return to the campus, walk in the door and get a text informing me he had taken care of it. I can't get that lunch back and chances are, I'll never see them again as we are from all over Alabama.I feel very disappointed in what I thought would be one of the happiest experiences of my life.

My lending team, led by Felecia Solomon, was absolutely fantastic! They explained every detail, communicated effectively & often, made us feel like we were their only lendees & went above & beyond in every way to help us purchase our dream home! As my 10 yo says when something is amazing, I give Felecia & her lending team @ VU a 5 star on yelp!
Felicia and her team made it very easy to get everything started for the loan process. Even while one of us was still in Korea, we were able to upload documents and complete the document checklist. The whole process was seamless with the app to digitally upload and sync items. Felicia’s team was super helpful even when we asked to close 4 days early. The concierge portion, Gabby was a great asset in making sure we had information on utility companies, from power to internet. Great team of professionals, I would highly recommend Veterans United and Felicia’s team.
